FLYING SITES  (Scroll down for site locations & info)

We currently have three primary places that we fly:

Here is a small map that shows where in town most of our pilots are located. If you live close by one of us and want to get hold of us, check out the ABOUT US link and drop us an e-mail!

Northern San Antonio - Bulverde Community Park

Most pilots meet here most Saturday and Sunday mornings. It is a great morning field! Extra caution must always be observed because it is a public park. There is no membership fee or club fee to fly here.

Bulverde Community Park is located directly across the street from the Bulverde Air Park on Bulverde Lane. It is only a short 15 minute drive north of 1604 on HWY 281 The address is: 29890 Bulverde Ln, Bulverde, TX‎.

Here's a quick video.

North East - Kitty Hawk Ultralight field

Ultralight pilots have been flying out at Kitty Hawk for years, and the gracious owner of the field allows RC pilots to come out and strut their stuff as well! As long as you have a spotter, fly in the posted fly zone, and are respectful of others, you can't beat flying here! Again, no membership fee or club fee to fly here either!

RC planes can take off and land on the paved ultra-light runway as well as helis. There is a static line flying circle south of the hangers and a HUGE open field to fly till your heart's content!

I will be making a video of this site within the next week or so... check back for an update! Here is a picture that will give you an idea of the field:

SLRC Club Field (current AMA license & club membership required)

Willy found a new field for SLRC to meet. It is an old field that used to be used for skydiving. It is located south-east of town in Elmendorf.

NOTE: As stated in the title, you MUST have a current AMA license and be a CURRENT paid member of the SLRC club in order to fly at this site! Please e-mail Willy for membership info: willy@sarchelis.com
